Writer's Block: Tobacco road
May. 14th, 2011 06:05 pm[Error: unknown template qotd] I sure would! I'm sick of walking down the street and being choked by someone's cigarette smoke, especially if I'm walking behind them and the wind is blowing in my direction. Second-hand smoking has its risks, no matter how many people try to pretend otherwise. I know that smokers should have the right to smoke if they want, but merely being outside does not stop others inhaling the smoke unwillingly, and I think that non-smokers have more of a right to fresh air than smokers do to pollute it. My brother has asthma and it really knocks him back for six if he ends up next to or behind a smoker. In busy streets it's the worst; here smokers really cannot pretend that their smoking is a solitary activity. It's a disgusting, money-wasting habit anyway - I really don't get why people spend money to sit there and puff away on a death stick. :\
